Beat Talk: Freestyle of The Arsonists

The Beat Yard recently got in touch with Freestyle of the group The Arsonists to talk about beats, his favorite producers, his latest single "Crystal Ball" and more!  Read all about what he had to say here.

The Beat Yard:  What's up Freestyle?
Freestyle:  The new year is wassup!  Lookin' forward to releasing a bunch of new music and going on tour once again.

The Beat Yard: What type of beats bring out the best in what you do as an artist?
Freestyle:  Beats that aren't the same sh*t you've heard before.  I tend to get a lot of beats that sound like everything from the past or everything that everybody else is doing.  Beats that have a fresh, different sound tend to bring out the best in me.

The Beat Yard:  Who are some of the beatmakers that you've worked with in the past, as a solo artist and with The Arsonists?
Freestyle:  The Arsonists, D.R. Period ("ante up" by M.O.P), RZA (Wu Tang), Stieber Twins, Snowgoons, Leyone Tracks, Embee (looptroop), Microphono, Max Mostley, MGI (Henri Lanz), Sakke, Meisterbeatz, Eversor, and many more...
(Snowgoons)

The Beat Yard:  Who are some of the beatmakers you would like to work with in the future?
Freestyle:  DJ Premier, Pete Rock, 9th wonder, Just Blaze, Odyssey, Timbaland, Pharrell.

The Beat Yard: Who are some of your favorite producers?
Freestyle:  Just Blaze, Timbaland, Pharrell, DJ Premier

The Beat Yard:  Do you buy beats?
Freestyle:  I sell beats!  If the beat is incredible, i'll pay for it!  Otherwise, I don't make enough cash to justify paying for all my beats.

The Beat Yard:  How would you describe the beat on your latest single "Crystal Ball"?
Freestyle:  Pure hip hop, up tempo, makes you move, makes u dance.

The Beat Yard:  What's next for Freestyle?
Freestyle:  New music all year!  Videos, touring, working with different artists.
