Pharrell asked to produce 50 Cent's entire next album!

Would you like an album from Ferrari F-50 entirely produced by Skateboard P?

We already know that Pharrell's one-time signee Pusha T is adamant about the idea of The Neptunes beatsmith scoring an entire LP for 50 Cent. But Pharrell has never publicly commented on any joint venture of the sort until now.

As part of the outtakes from their recent online cover story, Complex inquired with the Virginia-bred Super Producer how he felt about a potentially locking in on an album with 50 Cent.

Are you more interested in bringing back someone who cooled off, or breaking new talent? Pusha told me, "I want 50 to just get in the studio with Pharrell, just let Pharrell do the whole album."

I would love that. But, you know, he would have to see why that makes sense...for himself. That doesn't mean it makes the ultimate sense, I mean you know, people could read this and be like,

"What?! Ew, no. Don't fuck with Pharrell." You know? I would love to make an album with 50 that felt like a film. 'Cause he's an actor. He's an actor and a rapper and all these other things. I would wanna put all those talents together and try and make a cohesive body of work that was all about him. I'd just be Mario Puzo. I don't have to be Corleone. I don't have to be in it at all. I could just be the air in the room, which is just the storywriter or the backdrop. Cause he's the storywriter.

While there's no denying that 50 Cent's most recent music hasn't been up to the standard that forged the building blocks of his empire, you'd probably be hard-pressed to find a rap fan void of some interest in seeing such an album come to fruition. Personally, I'd "moze definitely" (Rozay voice) want to hear what these two accomplished cats are capable of creating. I guess we'll have to hear if Fif offers his two cents to the conversation.

Part of the popular gripes with the Southside Jamaice Queens rapper include the fact that he still favors his beats sounding like they were made in his heyday. An opportunity to have Pharrell helm the production for an entire project almost guarantees audiences could stop biting their nails over 50′s beat selections. By securing a producer with mainstream hits like Pharrell for a whole LP, Mr. Jackson would have more than a fighting chance to stunt like we know he's capable of on wax.

Whether or not such a collab ever comes to fruition, 50 Cent still plans to deliver some music in the New Year. While promoting the launch of his new SMS Audio line of headphones on Wednesday, the MC revealed that he will be releasing a mixtape in January that's "inspired in a whole other direction".
